The proposal to the ability training of an ultrasonic examination personnel
Description
In our country's ISI, the ultrasonic examination has been stored remarkable success in detection of the SCC in a stainless steel piping weld. This result owes to the training in an inspection company and experienced personnel. However, considering latest reduction of an examination opportunity of SCC in an operating plant by the implementation of measures and the change of personnel's generation, it is required to rebuild the ability training system of examination personnel. This paper reviews the qualification system in the US and Europe and proposes the structure of the Japanese system for the ability improvement of an ultrasonic examination personnel. The conclusion of this paper is that it is more rational to strengthen training using realistic specimen rather than implementation of Performance Demonstration as a qualification system of Japan.
