Description
A Monte Carlo theory of transport in tokamaks is presented that replaces Ohm's law by quasi-neutrality as the rule to determine the electric field. Bifurcated equilibria with three-dimensional asymmetry are calculated to define the magnetic field. After the electron confinement time is brought into line with the ion confinement time, both agree surprisingly well with experimental data. (author). 11 refs, 1 fig., 1 tab
