High-Level Radiation Field Analysis Using Monte Carlo Simulation In Nuclear Power Plant
Description
The radiation field analysis in nuclear power plant is important for operation or design nuclear power plant. Now, the radiation field analysis depends on measurements. The analysis using measurements has limits for predicting radiation field in various operating conditions or knowing trends for whole space in nuclear power plant. In this study, the computational calculation has tried for supplement the measurement. The calculation system is constructed and radiation field is mapped for whole space in nuclear power plant, using composed calculation system. The calculation system divide the source term calculation from transport calculation in radiation field for predicting the radiation filed based on various source terms. the neutron escaping from operating reactor core is evaluated as a source term. And the modeling is performed for whole space in containment building of nuclear power plant. Using these results, the transport calculation is performed in containment building inside. The subject of study is selected KORI unit 1 cycle 21. and MCNPX 2.4.0 version is used in study. Finally, the dose maps is made from calculation results for the space 6∼20, 20∼44, 44∼70 ft
