In the light of the high cost of electricity generated by nuclear power and reactor decommissioning, all nuclear power plants have been withdrawn from the projected privatisation of the electricity supply industry in the United Kingdom. Uncertainties still surrounding the sale of non-nuclear stations and the structure of the privatised industry are aired. (UK)
