Description
Definitions are given: thermodynamical definition (order of a critical point); geometrical definition (relevant fields); scaling laws, competition and cross over. Examples are presented: metamagnets, isotopic helium mixtures, classical multicomponents mixtures. Nature of fixed point, Ginzburg criterion and bordeline space dimensionality, non gaussian fixed points (dimensionality and anisotropy of order parameter) and pathological polycritical points are discussed. Finally the questions open by the study of this phenomena and remarks on dynamical properties are presented
Abstract (French)
On donne des definitions: definition thermodynamique (ordre d'un point critique); definition geometrique (champs pertinents); lois d'echelle, competition et ''cross over''. Des exemples sont presented en metamagnetique, melanges isotopiques d'helium, melanges classiques a plusieurs composantes. On discute de la nature du point fixe du critere de Ginzburg et de la dimensionalite d'espace caracteristique, des points fixes non gaussiens (dimensionalite et anisotropie du parametre d'ordre), des points polycritiques pathologiques. Enfin on presente les questions ouvertes par l'etude de ces phenomenes et des remarques sur les proprietes dynamiquesAdditional details
