X-ray spectroscopy of high-Z and high-density plasmas

Creators

Description

X-ray spectra for several elements have been observed from high-temperature plasmas produced in a vacuum spark using a curved-crystal spectrometer. The wavelengths of the He-like resonance lines for Ti through Zn are determined. The Fe He-like resonance series lines up to 1s6p-1s2 and the Kβ spectra of partially M-shell-ionized ions are also observed. Analyses of these data and future plan on tokamak x-ray spectroscopy are briefly discussed. (author)
