Description
A report of current work on linear and nonlinear models of AI Vel stars and delta Scuti stars show that agreement with observation of periods and location of the instability strip can be obtained for masses in the range 0.2 M/sub solar/ to 2.0 M/sub solar/. In addition, period ratios can be made to agree by varying Z at each mass. Preliminary nonlinear models show amplitudes that are much too high, indicating problems with the models. Several possible modifications are discussed
