Recultivation of soils contaminated with cesium-137 and strontium-90 in the result of the Chernobyl NPP accident

Description

A review of literature on the problems of decontamination of soils and grounds which were contaminated as a results of the Chernobyl accident, is presented and experimental data obtained by the authors in the process of both laboratory and pilot-full scale studies during soil and ground decontamination on the territory of Bryansk region of the Russian Federation are provided. A way of decontamination from cesium-137 and strontium radionuclides is suggested. Agrochemical characteristics of the soils after the technology described had been employed, have not practically changed. 36 refs
