Experimental foundations of existence of α-particle nuclear matter

Description
The paper is concerned with search of experimental methods resulting in direct confirmations of existence (or absence) of intranuclear clustering. For this purpose two classes of experiments are used: experiments on measuring nuclear deformation parameters and diffraction experiments. Experiments on α-particle scattering on light and medium nuclei with A=12-64, the energy being 29.3-50.5 MeV, are carried out on a cyclotron. Regularity of sign variation of nonsphericity parameter of light nuclei with a mass multiple of four nucleons is detected
