Radioactive waste processing device

Description

Purpose: To enable economical concentrating procession for liquid radioactive wastes such as regenerated liquid wastes or floor drains. Constitution: Liquid radioactive wastes are introduced from a tank by a liquid feed pump into a concentrate recycle path through a pipe. The liquid wastes thus introduced are forcibly circulated by a circulation pump into a concentrator, concentrated therein and then stored in a concentrate tank. The above pipe is connected to branch pipes through which liquid wastes before heating and concentration are partially supplied as a flashing liquid for the circulation pump to the space in the stuffing box and to the gap between the stuffing head and the casing of the circulation pump. This can decrease the amounts of condensates due to the flashing water, generated steam, steam for heating, etc. as compared with conventional system where warmed water is additionally provided to thereby enable economical concentrating treatment.
