Breakdown of conventional factorization for isolated photon cross sections

  • 1. Argonne National Lab., IL (United States). High Energy Physics Div.
  • 2. Iowa State Univ. of Science and Technology, Ames, IA (United States). Dept. of Physics and Astronomy

Description

Using e+e- → γ + X as an example, we show that the conventional factorization theorem of perturbative QCD breaks down for isolated photon cross sections in a specific part of phase space. Implications are discussed
