Description

We present new observations of the Wolf-Rayet star γ Velorum between 1.25 and 1100 μm. The spectral index is 0.69±0.02 between our millimetre flux and published radio observations at 4860 and 843 MHz. This indicates that recombination occurs at a large range of radii in the asymptotic region of the stellar wind. There is no evidence for non-thermal radio emission from the collision of the WC8 and O9 stellar winds. (author)
