Development of microstructure in ferritic steel under ion irradiation
Description
The resistance of ferritic steels to radiation induced void swelling has been demonstrated over a wide range of conditions, and they therefore have many potential applications for fast and fusion reactor components. However the available experimental data is not sufficient to establish the precise reasons for this. In this paper we present the results of a series of heavy ion irradiations of ferritic alloys using the Variable Energy Cyclotron at Harwell. (author)
