Description
Total mine production of uranium oxide in 1982 was 5251 t U3O8 (4453 t U), 56% more than in 1981. Production figures for the Ranger uranium mine and Nabarlek treatment plant are given. Developments during the year include the cessation of operations at Mary Kathleen, drilling at Olympic Dam and release of the draft E.I.S. for this project, granting of a mineral lease over the Jabiluka deposit, commissioning of the in-situ leaching pilot plant at Honeymoon, release of the draft E.I.S. for the Beverley project and completion of a feasibility study for the Yeelirrie project
