Study of the Dynamics of the Lattice of a MgF2 Monocrystal by Inelastic Neutron Scattering

Description

By analysing the inelastic neutron scattering in a MgF2 monocrystal with a tripie-axis spectrometer, the phonon dispersion relations were determined. This study was made to prove the calculations of the two-phonon process for the i.r. and Raman spectra of MgF2. (author)

Abstract (French)

Les auteurs ont déterminé, par l'analyse de la diffusion inélastique de neutrons lents d'un monocristal de ñuorure de magnésium à l'aide d'un spectromètre à trois axes, des relations de dispersion de phonons. Cette étude a pour but de fournir des renseignements pour calculer les processus à deux phonons dans les spectres infra-rouges et Raman du MgF2. (author)
