Crystal structure of guanidonium heptafluorozirconate

  • 1. AN SSSR, Vladivostok. Inst. Khimii

Description

X-ray structural study of (CH3H6)3ZrF7 (diffractometer, MoKsub(α), least square method in anisotropic approximation, 1048 reflections, R=0.034) has been carpied out, the crystals are rhombic: a=12.644 (1), b=11.438 (1), c=10.021 (1)A, Z=4, sp. gr. Pbcn. The structure of (CN3H6)3-- ZrF7 is formed by monomeric complex anions [ZrF7]3- and cations (CN3H6)+. Coordination polyhedron of Zr presents a somewhat distorted one-cap trigonal prism, all the vertices of which are occupied by fluorine atoms. The structure of the compound and the system of hydrogen bonds in it are discussed
