Problem of radioactive contamination of groundwater of the Semipalatinsk test site

It is necessary to provide statement and realization of the complex researches directed on studying of radiating conditions within the limits of generated zones of mechanical action of underground nuclear explosion for reception objective and reliable information about a degree of radioactive contamination of groundwater at the Semipalatinsk Test Site. The full information on possible processes of radionuclide migration with groundwater is necessary for the estimation and forecast of an ecological condition of bowels. Now at two objects of the STS within the framework of the K-810 project, supported by the International Scientific and Technical Center, works on studying radioactive pollution of groundwater are carried out.
