Results of a Round Robin measurement of spectral emittance in the mid-infrared

Creators

Description

In the absence of calibration standards, a Round Robin has been organized in order to measure emittances and reflectances for a variety of materials samples in the 1-25 microns IR region. The various instruments represent different geometries and approaches to measuring what is expected to be the same physical property. Some of the samples were chosen to be specular, and therefore measurable in an absolute sense; diffuse samples were chosen to test possible variations in the angular response to different instruments. The results obtained are reduced and compared. 6 references
