An effect of internal grain structure on the radiation grain-boundary segregation process
- 1. Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki, Almaty (Kazakhstan)
Description
In the paper the model of radiation grain-boundary segregation is offered, the model allows to taking into account an evolution of in-grain defect structure in the reactor irradiation process. Test computer measurements carried out without taking into account internal grain structure showing satisfying agreement with existing literature data. Dependences of value of grain-boundary segregation from parameters characterizing of state in-grain defect structure - density and size of pores, vacancy , dislocation density - are received. It is shown, that vacancy pores being a neutral drain for point defects effectively assist in volume recombination, and so their role coming to weakening of grain-boundary segregation. Edge dislocations (including both the dislocations of network and the dislocation loops) predominantly swallow up interstitial atoms, and more completely effect on a segregation pattern. If segregation is mainly caused of connection of segregating element with vacancies' flow that it value is increasing. If segregation is realizing due to interstitial diffusion mechanism that presence of edge dislocations is weakening their effect
