Description
Muon catalysis of dd- and dt-fusion has recently become an object of intensive investigations mostly because these reactions are considered as one more approach to practical utilization of nuclear energy. In this report, however, the authors concentrate upon another aspect of the muon catalyzed fusion (m.c.f.), namely, on the possibilities to study some few-body systems and few-body reactions involved in the m.c.f. by observing the fusion yields.The discussion is devoted to the d-μ-d fusion which has important advantages over the d-μ-t fusion being much more simple to handle experimentally and also to describe theoretically
