Description

It is stated that non-radioactive 3,5-acetic amino-2-4-6 iodine benzoic acid (Uromiro) is suitable for estimating the glomerular filtration rate. The test can be carried out even in the most poorly equipped medical rooms, on out-patients as well. There is no need for urine. After 5 cm3 of Uromiro, injected i.v., two blood samples have to be taken and sent to a laboratory equipped for measuring the fluorescence excitation of iodine. (author)
