Target mass dependence of linear momentum transfer
Description
In this work, by using standard thick target-thick catcher foil technique the average forward range and forward-to-backward ratios were determined for residues produced from interaction of 181Ta with 44.7 MeV/u 12C ions. The linear momentum transferred from the projectile to the struck nucleus were deduced with conventional way. The dependence of fractional momentum transfer on mass loss ΔA = (Atarget - Aproduct) from the target is similar in shape to those found in the interactions of Cu and 93Nb with 47 MeV/u 12C ions
