Hydrogen peroxide effect on distribution coefficient of iron compounds between water and vapor

  • 1. Moskovskij Ehnergeticheskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

The effect is studied of hydrogen peroxide on the coefficient of distribution of iron corrosion products between water and vapour at 7.0 MPa pressure and 285 deg C temperature corresponding to working conditions of a RBMK-1000 reactor. It is shown that the apparent distribution coefficient of iron corrosion products depends on the quality of the feed- and boiler water: with the increase in the. electric conductivity of water from 0.15 to 0.4 μs/cm it decreases from 0.39 to 0.29, accordingly at the pressure indicated above. The presence of hydrogen peroxide results in reduction of the apparent distribution coefficient of corrosion products down to 0.23
