Reactor charging machine for spherical fuel elements

Description

Reactor unloading machine for spherical fuel elements is described. A device contains a discharging vessel with a free level of fuel element filling, a helical transporting guide, and a shutoff device connected with outlet channel. The shutoff device is accomplished in the form of a cup turned to fuel element filling by its open end to increase reliability of fuel element discharging. The cup is situated in such a manner that there is a possibility of axial rotation inside a pipe being at an acute angle to a discharging vessel axis. Helical transporting guide is completed at the cup internal surface and connected with outlet channel by a transverse slot in a pipe wall. The above device eliminated a seizure of ball fuel elements and fragments in the shutoff slot. Application of the invention permits to diminish reactor delay period because of the change or repair of ball fuel element discharge device in the charging system
