Selective amperometric determination of thorium by ethyl cyanoglyoxalate phenyl-2-carboxylic acid hydrazone
Description
The reagent ethyl cyanoglyoxalate phenyl-2-carboxylic acid hydrazone has been developed for the selective amperometric determination of thorium. Commonly associated ions like UO22+, Fe3+, La3+, Ce4+, and Zr4+ do not interfere even when present in ten fold molar excess. 23μg to 4.6mg thorium can be determined within an error of +-1.5 percent
