NMR and Moessbauer spectra of mixed-valence iron fluoride dihydrate and related compounds
Description
The Moessbauer and 19F NMR spectra of Fe/III/Fe/II/F5.2H2O and related compounds were measured. It is assumed that exchange reaction might take place between Fe/II/ and Fe/III/ in this mixed-valence system. The metal fluoride dihydrates were all prepared by the thermal decomposition of the corresponding heptahydrates in dry nitrogen. The Moessbauer spectra were measured by using a Shimadzu MEG-2 Moessbauer Spectrometer with a 57Co source diffused into copper foil. (F.Gy.)
