Description
Users from various research labs and academic institutes carry out experiments on various beamlines of two synchrotron radiation sources Indus-1 and Indus-2, which are national level facilities in RRCAT. Every day many experiments are performed and large number of records are generated which are hand written, organized in folders, and stored for future reference. Maintaining logs for large experimental data is an important process, since it is the only source where all the information is available in systematic manner to draw conclusion and assessment of experiments. This paper presents framework of eLogBook (electronic logbook) software, which is an advanced computer-based replacement of traditional paper-based log books pertaining to experiments performed on beamlines of Indus-1 and Indus-2 synchrotron radiation sources. The eLogBook software meets all the requirements of any logbook, in addition to being faster as compared to traditional paper based logbooks, for storage and retrieval of experiment data. (author)
