Properties of YBa2Cu3Ox superconductor prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis

  • 1. Institute of Structural Macrokinetics, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

One of the ways to prepare high-Tc superconductors is self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) from a starting stoichiometric mixture of yttrium oxide, copper powder, and barium peroxide. Previous works show the possibility of using the SHS for preparing the orthorhombic phase (OP) of the YBa2Cu3Ox (1-2-3) superconductor with a superconducting transition temperature of Tc = 91-93 K. In this work, the authors present the results of a study on 1-2-3 samples prepared by SHS under different conditions
