Interactions between valence quarks and sea in the nucleon

Description
A model of interactions between sea quark-antiquark pairs and valence quarks is proposed. The model is simultaneously consistent with some features of the proton and neutron unpolarized and polarized structure functions; furthermore it makes predictions about the polarization of partons inside the nucleon.
