Coupling between collective and internal modes in the nuclei 6He and 6Li

Description
The effect of interactions between the internal and collective degrees of freedom on the structure of 0+ excitations of the nuclei 6He and 6Li is studied by considering quadrupole excitations above the internal states which have the O(A-1) symmetry of [20] and [40]. It is shown that this interaction weakly affects the spectrum and wave functions of the O+ states: the solutions obtained in the minimal approximation (i.e., in the approximation with the [20] internal function) are only weakly perturbed when the [40] internal excitation functions are included
