Description

The tungsten carbide coating was deposited on the copper plate by means of specially calculated modes of the plasmatron operation. It is established that the WC-Co coating hardness reaches in separate places 1.3 x 104 N/mm2 and the coating adhesion force relative to the substrate reaches 270 MPa. The elementary and phase analysis of the coating is carried out through the methods of the Rutherford ions backscattering, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy with diffraction. It is determined that coating consists of the WC crystallites with the hexagonal close-packed lattice, the cobalt crystallites α and β and WC with the cubic lattice. The W3Co3C phase particles are observed on the crystal boundaries
