Intermetallic phases of the ternary system hafnium-zirconium-iron

Description
The extent of the homogeneity areas of intermetallic phases were investigated in the ternary system Hf-Zr-Fe. At 900deg C stable binary compounds ZrFe2, Zr2Fe, HfFe2 and Hf2Fe are known from recent investigations. The phase boundaries of these phases were determined with respect to alloying with the third elements Hf or Zr. Independent ternary compounds were not found. Crystallographic and hyperfine parameters are presented for the existing phases and will be discussed with regard to their concentration dependence. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die Homogenitaetsgebiete der stabilen intermetallischen Phasen des ternaeren Systems Hf-Zr-Fe wurden untersucht. Ausgehend von den bei 900deg C bekannten Verbindungen ZrFe2, Zr2Fe, HfFe2 und Hf2Fe wurden Phasengrenzen unter Zulegieren des dritten Elementes Hf oder Zr bestimmt. Dabei konnte keine eigenstaendige, neue ternaere Phase beobachtet werden. Es werden kristallographische Daten und Hyperfeinparameter bereitgestellt und hinsichtlich der Zusammensetzung diskutiert.
