Operational analysis of programmable TL reader system developed for medical and research applications

  • 1. Radiation Safety Systems Div., Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

The performance of the TLD reader developed for medical and research applications has been optimized for parameters such as the EHT, PMT gain, S/N ratio, temperature profile and data transfer etc. The correction factors for the actual and the set heating rates have been determined. It is observed that non-linearity in the set vs. the actual temperature plot increases for the heating rates beyond 25 deg C/s. (author)
