Description

The device comprises a pincer mounted on a support that can be moved along a long vertical rod in two other perpendicular directions. The pincer has two arms hinged about an axis and that are remotely moved by two rams joined to the ends opposite to the pincer mouth that grips the fuel element. A video camera is mounted on the support to provide an image of the operating zone

Abstract (French)

Le dispositif comporte une perche de grande longueur sur laquelle est monte un moyen de support et de deplacement d'un outillage d'intervention mobile dans une direction axiale de la perche et dans deux directions perpendiculaires a cette direction axiale. L'outillage comporte une pince constituee par deux branches articulees entre elles autour d'un axe fixe sur le moyen de support et de deplacement dans une direction parallele a l'axe de la perche. La pince comporte des becs d'extremite susceptibles d'assurer le serrage d'un crayon combustible. Le serrage de la pince est commande a distance et la mise en place de cette pince sur un crayon combustible a extraire est controlee grace a une camera video
