Description

This work is focussed on the SLN and LLN uptake of three different radiopharmaceuticals produced in our laboratory, [99mTc]-HSAC, [99mTc]-SC and a [99mTc]-Dx solution, which have different particle sizes. The site of injection, either intradermal or intratumoral, was also studied. The assays were carried out in normal mice and mice harbouring foot pad tumours. The right rear footpad (RRF) was the chosen site of injection of the radiolabeled products. The SLN for this animal model is the first node that drains the rear footpad, the popliteal node. The second lymphatic node station from the RRF, the lumbar lymph node (LLN), was also resected, to determine the amount of radiopharmaceutical passing the SLN
