Description

Electrochemically produced crystals of (TMTSF)2ClO4 have been grown with different morphologies, which exhibit different mechanical properties. The thinnest, needle-shaped samples prove to be particularly good single crystals and exhibit typical whisker properties. Measurements of the Meissner effect in the superconducting state of such crystals show high anisotropies both in the critical field and the ''pinning'' force. (Auth.)
