Description

Plasmonically augmented hot electron photodetection enable materials to exhibit new optical functionalities for the wavelengths beyond their detection limit and hence emerges as a new field for potential application such as photovoltaic's, photo-catalysis, photodetection, nanoscale imaging, photo-induced phase- transition etc. Metamaterials are artificial rationally designed properties which can allow both field component of light to be coupled to meta-atom, enabling entirely new optical properties and exciting applications. Here, we have studied the electrical characterization of fabricated plasmonic nanostructure's called as metamaterials (e- beam fabricated) integrated robust CdS film based broad spectral photodetector (visible to NIR region).
