Technique for measuring ratio of production of helium mesoion
Description
The suggested method for measuring the ratio of helium mesoion production consists in irradiation by the beam of slow muons of the target with gaseous mixture of helium and hydrogen isotopes. The processes which occur in the target are recorded in comparison with the processes taking place in the target filled by hydrogen isotopes. To increase the accuracy and sensitivity of the method to helium the pulse polarization chamber being simultaneously a target is used to record time distributions, number and energy of charged products of nuclear synthesis caused by the stopped muon
