Eulerian-lagrangian model of interphase heat and mass transfer in three-phase low temperature plasma jet

  • 1. Kazan National Research and Technological University, Kazan (Russian Federation)

Description

Mathematical description of interphase heat and mass transfer in aerosoles and gas suspensions is often based on continious mixture model (Eulerian approach), which in some cases is not physically justified. Such situation takes place for ultra dispersed powder sublimation in plasma jets. For numerical modeling here is suggested Eulerian-Lagrangian model (particle – plasma interaction). Such model allows to calculate maximal productivity of plasma jet sublimation process. Results of calculations are in good concurrence with experimental observation. (paper)
