Description
Hitherto, by investigating a testing method on livestock relating samples (of plant and animal) using PGA (prompt gamma-ray analysis) by using boron related deeply to calcium and phosphorus metabolism and high testing sensitivity due to PGA for an objective and with high sensitivity due to PGA for an objective element, some informations on sample shapes, sample volumes, testing periods and so forth were obtained. In 1997 fiscal year, it was examined that a sheep for an application to real example was supplied boron containing water, to measure boron contents in obtained urine and internal organs by PGA method, boron level on change in urine and boron level in various internal organs obtained at end of the experiment. As a result, it was found that boron in drinking water was absorbed rapidly into sheep, boron level in urine rose like that in blood plasma, the absorbed boron was accumulated into internal organs, and so forth.
