Methods of measurement in power supply equipment research

Description

Experimental equipment is described designed for research in the composition of two-phase gas-liquid mixtures and specifically for measurement of steam volumes in a steam-water mixture. The measurement is based on the radiographic method where 137Cs is the radiation source. A facility is also briefly described used for leak testing of selected components of a nuclear reactor. It uses the cold condition testing method in combination with a helium test. The method suffers from some drawbacks and thus, a new design has been developed aimed at determining heating temperatures for the individual leak sizes and the corresponding testing levels. A vacuum type testing facility installed in an air-conditioned laboratory was used for the purpose. The objective is to determine such a heating temperature value that can cause leaks in the equipment being tested. (M.D.). 6 figs
