Description
The last two decennia the insights in the effects of ionizing radiation upon the human embryo and fetus have been modified somewhat. It has become still more apparent that the development of the great brain is the most sensitive for ionizing radiation. In this article these new insights in the effects of ionizing radiation upon the human embryo and the practical consequences of the latter are discussed. (author). 10 refs.; 4 figs
