Effect of welding gap size on explosion welding joint quality

The explosion welding of steel parts at various small initial gaps between them is investigated. The area of welding spot changes when the gap size increases due to transference of border of strength weld joint beginning. The strength of the joint depends on the motion of shock-compressed air in a gap
