Dependence of precipitation kinetics of platinum metals on iron(3) oxyhydrate gel on complex nature and ionic background
Description
Total kinetic series of platinum metal precipitation on ferrogel in chloride and sulfate-chloride solutions of platinum metal chloride complexes is determined. It is shown that the precipitation rate on ferrogel is characterized by a combination of complex kinetic lability and thermodynamic stability as in the case of other oxyhydrate sorbents. The most unstable complxes are precipitated with the highest rate of precipitation. Physical sorption on ferrogel predominates at low anionic background concentrations; with the concentration growth the process acquires a hydrolytic character at the expense of sorbent surface hydroxyl groups
