Description

In 1963 the United States agreed to supply India with nuclear fuel for the atomic power station at Tarapur. The contractural obligations were later disregarded. The author considers that foreign policy issues and not non-proliferation objectives have determined US policy with regard to the transfer of nuclear materials and technology
