Electrodeposition mechanism of magnetic cobalt tungsten alloys
Description
The mechanism of the electrodeposition of cobalt-tungsten alloys at various current densities was studied. It was found that electrodeposition of the magnetic cobalt-tungsten alloys is preceded by the formation of an intermediate phase of the main compounds of the co-precipitating metals with its subsequent reduction to Co-W alloys. It is shown that the formation intensity and physicochemical properties of the disperse phase of the main compounds of coprecipitating metals define chemical composition and magnetic parameters of Co-W alloys. The disperse phase contains no cobalt in the presence of MoO42- or NO3- additions
