Description
A comparative assessment of the X-ray method (panoramic roentgenography), ECG, PCG and echoradiography in the diagnosis of pericarditis in vancer patients is given. Exudative pericarditis was diagnosed in 44 patients with different malignant tumors. The most informative noninvasive method of diagnosis of pericarditis was echoradiography permitting the detection of pericardiac effusion in all 44 patients (100%). The presence of liquid in the pericardiac cavity by characteristic X-ray findings was detected in 18 patients (40.9%), by ECG findings - in 16 (36.3%), and by PCG findings - in 25 (57%). Echoradiography permitted early detection of pericardiac lesions, observation of the time course of fluid accumulation and resorption
