Measurement of the collection time of light in plastic scintillators
Description
The article describes calculated and experimental results obtained in the determination of the time of collecting light from the bulk of a plastic scintillator at the photocathode of a photomultiplier. The time depends upon the geometrical dimensions and the type of the reflective coating and, moreover, is strongly influenced by the radioluminescence spectrum
