Description

The paper have shown that the main changes in the fuel structure of a leaky fuel rod were observed in the central part of the fuel pellet, where there was an increase in pore concentration and an exit from the fuel matrix of xenon and cesium. According to the results of gamma scanning, a yield of 6% cesium was recorded in the coolant. No fuel erosion registered

Abstract (Russian)

Исследования показали, что основные изменения в структуре топлива негерметичного твэла наблюдались в центральной части топливной таблетки, где было выявление увеличение концентрации пор и выход из топливной матрицы ксенона и цезия. По результатам гамма-сканирования зафиксирован выход 6% цезия в теплоноситель. Вымывание топлива не зарегистрировано
