Synchrotron radiation reveals the secrets of yet smaller crystals

The author gives a brief history of the development of X-ray analysis in solid state physics. The arrangement for the present experiment is described to analyze the atomic structure of a very small crystal (6 micron edge length). (J.M.S.)
